Chicago Landlord disparages the entire profession of lawyers in service of opposing Chicago’s PRO and gets retweet from local lawyer John Heiderscheidt who seemingly agrees with that assessment

What percentage of executions in the last few years have been botched? Seems like a non-trivial number

Thanks for making those available!

It's fairly trivial by comparison but I wonder if there's been much study of the threatening of witnesses?

This place clings to you. Unwanted, cloying attachment.
But there's an honesty to all human interaction down here that makes it trivial for me to navigate.
And it's got a nightlife rife with opportunities for someone with my particular interests.

…of industrial disputes in 70s, and strikes, sometimes for trivial reasons but Tories were in office half that decade, so do they have no responsibility? And why, in terms of economic competence is Healey going to IMF a big deal, but not Lamont raising interest rates to 15% in a day and still…

Writers are often lovely people and JCO is a fabulously funny critic, but such people need to get used to reading before talking again. Very literary-scene to make the maximum possible error on something that’s so trivial to just look up

Yes it turned out that there were a few other really contingent things happening. But that’s why we shouldn’t make presidential elections the place to pursue relatively trivial electoral goals.

Men don't have to worry about a women getting angry for something trivial and beating us for it. We also don't have to worry about being alone with a woman because they might rape us. Seriously, dude what the fuck?

one of my crank beliefs is that jeezy probably won obama a non-trivial number of votes with "my president is black"

I hesitate to be too snarky because it's way too easy to assume things from the outside, but... this feels like a pretty trivial thing to update in the codebase. At first I thought maybe they set up a new player record accidentally, but it seems to be entirely on the query side.

Even so, Cornell took action. I was also a PR flack for a time and would've loudly protested the essay assignment, which just sounds silly in proportion to the seriousness of the charges.

But the frat was banned—which sounds trivial in the real world but hits Greek world ...

The employee who fixes a trivial one-line bug in facebook is worth orders of magnitude more than the person maintaining a complex system for 50 people.

Around the time of brexit in the UK there was a lot of fuss made about making the colour of the passport blue instead of red. Nobody apart from politicians and the media cared about such a trivial thing. Looks like they are trying same stupid game.

I mean, if I was OpenAI, that's certainly what I would have done, but then again, I care about computational efficiency, correctness, and little trivial things like "not losing money on every interaction with a customer", so I'm obviously not qualified.

WATCH: Booker says ‘we’re persecuting the prosecutors’ in Jack Smith hearing
Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., on Tuesday accused Republican lawmakers in the Senate Judiciary Committee of “persecuting the prosecutors” during a hearing with former special counsel Jack Smith, who led investigations into President Donald Trump’s mishandling of classified documents and role in the Jan. 6 attack. Booker said Smith’s investigation was “not something trivial,” adding “it is the biggest assault on our democratic traditions in over a century.” He asked Smith to summarize the findings of his investigation into Trump’s role in Jan. 6 that led to a grand jury indictment. “We found that he caused that violence, that it was foreseeable to him and that he sought to exploit it,” Smith said. “That statement should be chilling to every American,” Booker said. “That the commander in chief, currently, did everything he could to undermine the legal transfer of power.” Republicans and the president have accused Smith of pursuing a politically motivated case against the president. Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, referred Smith to the Justice Department for possible prosecution, alleging that Smith made false statements during an hourslong closed-door meeting with lawmakers in December. Smith has denied accusations of bias, saying he had "proof beyond a reasonable doubt" of what his investigations laid out. Watch PBS News for daily, breaking and live news, plus special coverage. I'm sorry that you are too thick to understand, and think like a teenage boy. I don't see a different group of humans experiencing joy as a great injustice. Football is ultimately trivial, as are you.
