#Trustless
I love crypto, everything is so secure and transparent!

Completely trustless.

Perhaps placing faith in trustless technical architectures instead of cultivating interpersonal trust was a bad idea?

I say if you can’t trust anyone in your trustless peer to peer anonymous currency then who can you trust

is it hacking even possible on a “trustless” blockchain? code is law after all. it just turns out the code said something you didn’t anticipate

No no no it's completely decentralized and totally trustless and fake money contracts cure all of society's ills and I give up why do I even try talking to you Luddites?

Perhaps the Binance heist points to the incompatibility between “trustless” cryptographic currencies and A.I. hacking agent swarms.

I have no reason think it would affect supply, but if the theft is indicative of a changing cybersecurity environment that makes trustless financial infrastructure less tenable, I'd expect that to affect demand

Privacy infrastructure evolves through verifiable correctness. The tools demonstrated here are becoming standard requirements for trustless systems.

Crypto was always a project where libertarians learn why financial regulations exist and why we have the current system.

Trustless! Irreversible!! Take that, you dinosaurs in legacy finance! Lmao

essentially an architecture for a trustless, multi-agent virtual world or simulation-based operating system.

This is one of those cases where suitcase words like "decentralization", "trustless", and "permissionless" bite people.

A platform can have no central authority. It can obey the code deployed as law.

If the code says whomever deployed the contract can freeze an address, then the platform obeys.
"stablecoin issuers froze..."

so much for decentralisation and "code is law"
Updated: Binance estimates its losses at ~$3B+, making this the largest exploit in crypto history — twice the size of 2025’s Bybit hack, now in second place. Binance blames a compromised devops laptop.

North Korea, also behind Bybit, is the suspected culprit.

to override protocol rules. This move, while applauded for recovering stolen assets, sets a dangerous precedent for arbitrary intervention in blockchain networks, potentially undermining trust in decentralization. For global finance, it signals that even 'trustless' systems are subject to 🧵(2/4)

Then you get to trustless.

"Trustless blockchain" only means "I don’t have to take your word for what output will result from a set of inputs, I can check myself".

Furthermore, you can not only examine the deployed contract, but know when it changes from under you.

Imo there's a sliding scale of tutorialization "trust" in terms of how tightly it holds your hand, with the extreme trustless end being "you can't even move the cursor off the correct thing let alone pick it" and there's a direct correlation between lack of trust and me failing to retain taught info
