Just recovered from the flu but anyone remember QBasic or TurboPascal from the 1990s? I was doing a spot of Laravel today and I missed it so I decided to make a TurboPascal style IDE for PHP. Why? Why not!

Ha ha. Eneste jeg noengang var borti var turbopascal. Brukte det utelukkende til bullshit-spåmaskiner, en falsk snutt som gjorde at gutta på IT trodde de fikk lastet ned porno og en primitiv løsning for å stjele passord som så ble brukt til å albue seg selv plass på skolens servere.

Ah, TurboPascal and Basic. Those were the days. First informatics at 12, on a GDR computer with tape drive. A year later some PCs, but I had more knowledge than the teacher. Real proper lessons with 14, after I changed schools.

Mine was TurboPascal, quite some time ago 🤓
It was while studying to prepare for business school exams (completely unrelated to the tech and coding world). Most of my classmates hated it so I was doing everyone's coding exercises 😄

I had to wait until 14 to get first proper informatics/computer lessons in school. I already figured out programing in TurboPascal, PowerBasic, and TurboC. And I realized I didn't like any of those languages.
By then I was already conversationally fluent in English, because I had to read manuals. :)
