Book cover, series Boxset Title: Mazzone Mafia, a dark Mafia Trilogy Includes: Condemned to Love, Forbidden to Love, and Scared to Love Author: Siobhan Davis, USA Today & WSJ bestselling author Performed by: Gideon Frost, Veronica Fox, Michael Gallagher, Sarah Puckett, and Tyler Darby *****Book review***** >Eliminating the Threats< I love how Alessandro (Alesso) Salerno has crushed on Serena (Rena) Lawson Gifoli, and even when her marital status changes, he is patient and recognizes that timing is everything. When they finally cross that line? I appreciate the realistic response and how that unravels. -- Book quote 'Every single nerve ending and cell in my body has awoken as if I’ve been sleeping my way through life up to this point. Hormones are going crazy inside me as my body responds to his touch in a way it hasn’t responded to any touch before.' -- Serena Gifoli The way Alesso takes to the kids and how they take to him is beyond cute and endearing. It's one of the best parts of this book. There's overlap with the other books in the series, so reading in order is advised. Fair warning: There continues to be a lot of darkness - violence, grape, abuse, etc. Every revelation from Serena about her marriage to Alfredo is awful. There are other instances beyond that. I listened to the audio book as part of the >Mazzone Mafia Complete Series.< The narrators are in duet! 🥳 The narrators, Tyler Darby and Sarah Puckett, are great. There is a mispronunciation that stuck out like a sore thumb to me - Greenwich. For those who are unaware, it is not pronounced how it's spelled, whether it's Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), the city in Connecticut (CT), or the village in Manhattan (NYC). Other than that, I really like the narration. Story: 4 stars Narration: 4 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x H = 26; h = 32

I really liked it and look forward to continuing the series with the next generation. I listened to this. The narrators are Gideon Frost, Veronica Fox, Michael Gallagher, Sarah Puckett, and Tyler Darby. The first book is dual narration. Books two and three are duet, which made me very happy! I like all the narrators. 🎧💛🎧 Story: 4-4.5 stars Narration: 4 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x
