if you want to try typelex.org in your project, i think it's ready for initial testing and feedback. it's basically "coffeescript for lexicons", for better or worse. feel free to file issues on @tangled.org: tangled.org/@danabra.mov...

thanks!

Me (learning TypeSpec): This looks simple and clean, I'm so happy

TypeSpec: I deprecated the deprecated decorator so you can use deprecated features while you deprecate.

I've been using #TypeSpec for a real-life project over the past few weeks, and I’m seriously impressed! 🚀

Here’s a thread with 5 reasons why I think TypeSpec is a game-changer for #API design. Let’s dive in! 👇

dan, legit, if you make one, I will give it a very close look

IMO the closest option I've seen is typespec, but I give that just as a suggestion

navigating the space between typespec and atproto is weird because atproto has some conventions like "optional by default" and "open union by default" which i can't replicate syntactically. but i'm fairly happy with my solution to that

TypeSpec is gaining traction as a code-first way to define APIs. But does it replace OpenAPI, or complement it? Kristopher Sandoval breaks it down.
OpenAPI vs. TypeSpec: Which To Use? | Nordic APIs |
Is TypeSpec a production-ready replacement for OpenAPI? We compare both and explore how they can work together in modern API design.

"TypeSpec is not perfect. But its shortcomings are bearable compared to what you can gain by using it. Between writing code and having to define your API using YAML, what would you prefer?"

Considering open sourcing an #elixirlang macro at @massdriver.cloud that lets you declare what Ecto relations a function needs — like a typespec but for associations.

Absolutely obliterates N+1s

Thinking about open sourcing — would anyone actually use it?

This does two things...
