Like Yardley has changed a lot - 1983-2010 Yardley was Yardley, Stechford & Sheldon. 2010-2024 Yardley added the AG and the boundaries of Stechford changed a bit. 2024+ Yardley adds Small Heath but loses a bit more of Stechford, Hay Mills, Tyseley proper, the Yarnfield and Pemberley Road estate.

I once went for an interview at Tyseley for an apprenticeship when I was 16. I wasn't accepted but I remember having a chat with the main guy about my love of the 50s. He said 'you wouldn't feel that way if you had to work on them! They are a bloody nightmare!' lol. Never forgotten that!

Close by me here in Brum a few years ago they knocked down a few car dealerships close to Tyseley train station. When I saw the vacant land I thought it was an ideal opportunity to build some high-density affordable housing. Instead we got a brand new Arnold Clark 🤬
