This is something I was thinking about wrt Nick Robinson’s hectoring of Polanski. Polling has shifted so drastically on Israel in the US in three years that if the next Dem Presidential candidate is even pro-Israel, they will be the last. The UK is on a similar trajectory, and will follow the US.
We will look back in the future on Israel's domestic political and media allies in the same way we look back on those sycophantic supporters of Rhodesia and Apartheid South Africa today: as creeps, losers and deniers. It's only a matter of time.

That's so weird, I was told that the US had complete control over Israel.
U.S. officials reportedly pressed Israel over the past two weeks to launch a unilateral strike on Iran, hoping Israel would shoulder the political risks ahead of November's U.S. midterms.

It doesn't matter either way but a great example of how irrational Israel is is the fact that they prevent elections for the subcontractor entity that they and the US control anyway.
The abolition of the Palestinian Authority would do far more for the Palestinian national movement than halfway rigged and unconstitutional elections to a powerless and thoroughly compromised body like the PLC.

As American Jews we call for the dismantling of the US-Israel alliance. As long as the US keeps sending weapons, Palestinians pay with their lives. Stop arming Israel.
