The idea that rejoining the EU would take the UK a decade is a myth.

Finland went from application to full membership in less time than it took us to negotiate and sign a trade deal with India.

I'm guessing conservative politicians in the UK don't get the same deal conservative politicians in the US get, where bulk purchases of their shitty books inflate the sales numbers to be not so embarrassing?

By “us” I of course mean not only the UK but the UK and all of its allies in Europe.
So America is on the side of Russia. And Russia is at war with us. No one is saying it but it means America is at war with us.

Richard Knighton, UK Chief of Defence Staff:

”Europe is defending … the eastern coast of America. Part of the reason I’m here [in the US] is that Gen Nick Perry tomorrow takes over as the first UK Commander of the JFC Norfolk … it is a really big deal and that is providing security for the US.”

Neither the EU nor the UK can rely on Trump's America, but we can rely on each other.

This is something I was thinking about wrt Nick Robinson’s hectoring of Polanski. Polling has shifted so drastically on Israel in the US in three years that if the next Dem Presidential candidate is even pro-Israel, they will be the last. The UK is on a similar trajectory, and will follow the US.
We will look back in the future on Israel's domestic political and media allies in the same way we look back on those sycophantic supporters of Rhodesia and Apartheid South Africa today: as creeps, losers and deniers. It's only a matter of time.
