US Sues Google Over Army Reservist’s Lost Job
According to Reuters, the US government has sued Google over its treatment of an Army Reserve employee. The complaint claims the company failed to return him to his former role after a year of military leave. Moreover, it says Google never offered him a comparable job. Federal prosecutors filed the case on Thursday in a Manhattan federal court. It is a rare example of Washington suing a private employer under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994, known as USERRA.

Guy Reschenthaler and Max Miller want to amend SCRA and USERRA to treat IDF service by US citizens "in the same manner as service in the uniformed services," in terms of legal protection already offered to US soldiers, so they'd be more immune from potential war crimes committed serving in Israel.

Yeah my perspective is we need to actually do total force. Deep bench of O-4/O-5 types at guard / reserve units who would do a 2 year command tour of USERRA exempt orders.

We just suck at total force

Have you tried the JAG? I've been retired for a long time, but the OSJA where I worked did legal assistance for USERRA issues.

Lawyers: I have an “I need to consult my lawyer” issue. I don’t actually have a lawyer and am trying to get one.

I researched firms who normally work on the issue (USERRA) and twice I’ve completed their online intake forms and heard nothing in response.

Is it normal for firms to just… not respond?

(a few years ago), when during the interview it was brought up even though it violates USERRA.
When I was first served, I wanted to make it a career, to do more and care more than just about myself. Toward the end, I realized I should get out, I had wanted to advance my career and my ASVAB score

USERRA. I always had to bring that up. Even though they and everyone else had the training (yearly) about it, they quickly forgot about it.
