Mechanistically, they found that loss of endothelial Usp8 led to VEGFR2 accumulation in early endosome aggregates and reduced phospho-ERK signaling. Congratulations to all!

Great, great news! We just published a paper!🥳 Alba Pau Navalón, other members of our lab and @henarcuervo.bsky.social identified endothelial USP8 as a key regulator of angiogenesis across developmental and postnatal context. Even more interesting details in Angiogenesis (doi.org/10.1007/s104...)!

USP8 deubiquitylation-boosted NSUN4 potentiates lung squamous cell carcinoma progression by m5C methylation of DHCR24
Jiang et al. explore the regulation and biological functions of 5-methylcytosine in lung squamous cell carcinoma modifications. USP8-mediated NSUN4 K11-linked ubiquitination inhibits DHCR24 degradation. The USP8/NSUN4/m5C DHCR24 signaling axis promotes squamous cell carcinoma pathogenesis.
