I find it interesting how UTF-8 is actually a part of WebSocket specification and the implementations are recommended to progressively verify the UTF-8 sequence as it's received and instantly drop the connection as soon as it becomes invalid.

Um mich auf die Palme zu bringen, braucht man kein Klettergerüst. Es reicht völlig, UTF-8 auf ISO-8859-1 umzustellen.

Anyone know if there is a fast way to batch convert UTF-8 text files to UTF-16 LE text files?
For those wondering: a Byte Order Mark (BOM) is a special Unicode character placed at a text stream’s start to indicate byte order (endianness) and encoding format. It is used primarily with UTF-16 and UTF-32, less often with UTF-8. BOM (U+FEFF) sometimes messes up simple unicode processing.
