The patched/enhanced Ultima III for NES is probably the best way to play Exodus honestly.

I got this "bootleg" Ultima 3 cart for the Atari 800 from ebay and it works perfectly, saves the games just fine, etc. Had a lot of fun checking it out - never played on the Atari though only the Commodore 64. #genxretrogaming #retrogaming #genxretro #ultima3 #exodus #atari #atari800 #commodore #c64

yeah - I'm still working through a few things like that. As you can imagine on a project like this, it isn't a "make an Ultima in 10 minutes bruh" type of thing. But I want to keep it as simple as possible. I love Raylib and so far for ASCII it's been great! Kinda Ultima3 but not sure about a party

ive probably put more hours into this game (specifically the nes port) than any other in my life

if you ever feel like taking a dive into it as an adult theres a really good mod that rethinks a lot of how the classes/levelling work so it isnt quite as impenetrable
