Ich habe eine Businessidee:
Pitch: Cloudservices für zu Hause als Dienstleistung.

Warum? Es gibt NAS, es gibt Nextcloud, es gibt Systeme dafür (Unraid, UmbrelOS, etc.). Alle diese Tools brauchen jedoch technische Kenntnisse, das Bedürfnis nach digitaler Souveränität steigt jedoch auch bei Laien.

Just updated my umbrelOS to 2.0, the new machines feature is neat, spun up a Debian 13 guest. A bit surprised it's working so well even though my umbrelOS is itself a guest vm running on Proxmox.

Been playing around with casaos, proxmox and umbrelos and so far I like them all except the fact that umbrelos seems to connect to tor even though I disabled tor connections via the dashboard. Random incoming connections via tor to it from Germany, etc. Ended up bringing it down. #docker #it

Decided against umbrelOS and for a second @coolify.io instance. umbrel looks cool but it's like using MacOS vs Ubuntu Server with an outdated app store. Case closed.
Hard to beat #Coolify even for #homelab stuff.
But if you're not into terminal / docker / ssh stuff, then umbrelOS might be perfect.

Het is inmiddels 2 weken mijn thuisserver en is zeer volledig.

Heb alleen wel wat nieuwe RAM nodig voor de machine, dus dat haal ik vanmiddag.
