I read somebody's fic yesterday that seems to be exploring the idea that Jax scanning in again leads to both consciousness fusing into one body. Which leads to Jax unabstraction and both of them having to figure out healing. It's pretty damn good so far.

Oh i definitely wouldn't change anything about the finale, but personally i don't think possible unabstraction would undercut the message. I see the message as "its never too late to accept help"

My deepest hope for The Amazing Digital Circus is that it has a final epilogue episode showing how the gang is doing years later.
But mostly because I hope to see Jax unabstracted. 💔

My Tadc fanfic, Digital Circus: Refactor, has officially reached 150,000 words. This milestone feels really huge. The story will be coming to a close very soon and I'm super excited to see how well the ending is recieved.

I personally see it as Jax being trans. If we got an unabstraction, it would have probably come with an avatar change. I think that “Jax” realized it sooner than his IRL counterpart did. And I think “Isn’t she lovely” was that realization. That acceptance within himself.
