#1 thing i wish more cis people would understand about trans people is the level of employment discrimination and homelessness trans people deal with. yes, even during the Obama years. a very large percentage of the people i know who are or have been homeless at some point (or facing it) are trans.

this isn’t even touching on people who are underemployed, doing contract work that often has unpredictable gaps, working for codev studios whose contracted projects & runway are opaque to them, etc.
