#Understaffed
Hilby’s birthday 3: group brunch at #TenSquare in #HardwareLa (where the original Hardware Société was). Friendly and delicious but understaffed so a bit chaotic. Popped over after for a coffee at the little Hardware Société space where Will & Di actually started as Beetroot!

Every time I go to a proper takeout place the order is ready immediately and all the items are bagged in a very convenient way
Even burger king is great, but I probably spend 1/3 of my time just sitting in the big twos lobbies while they're understaffed and backed up to hell

Especially in the public sector they don’t like it - because pretty much every branch of the public sector is understaffed (often brutally so), and the staff they do have working to rule will really underline that in a way the general public rarely see.

Nurses at a major hospital chain say Palantir's AI scheduling software keeps leaving shifts understaffed, and they're blaming it for mistakes and burnout.

Software optimizing for efficiency on paper while people pay for it on the floor is not new, but it's still bad.

Went to the corner drugstore to get my shots. Had an appointment. Was supposed to take 10 mins.

It took an hour, even though I was straight up hanging around the counter, but they were so busy/understaffed, they just "forgot about me".

Is what it is.

I developed tendinitis in my left ankle at my job during COVID because we were working 12s due to being understaffed and we weren’t allowed to sit down. I still deal with it almost 5 years later. Not allowing workers to time to sit down should be fucking outlawed.

It may take time for them to respond unless they’re understaffed at the moment

The casino closest to us is a bit of a joke. It's small, table games are pricey + limited and they are very understaffed. It's sort of grungy. No free drinks. But the hotel rooms are free because we spend $$$ each time we go: free chicken +waffle breakfast spread.

Huh.

Border Patrol already underfunded, understaffed, and needing updated communication equipment (source: that department, 2018), yet has to suffer this dalliance. 😝

Absolutely incompetent administration.

That’s a wrap - five weeks of working without my staff. This is what a tired family doc looks like (after taking off my mask). Understaffed and overworked is the norm in family medicine, but thankfully I’ll have my wonderful staff back on Monday!

Have a peaceful, healthy weekend. Shabbat shalom.

He was buying cold meds so I think he was cranky because he was just a sick baby boy who need his cold medicine to feel better 🙄 But yeah, Walgreen I chronically understaffed!

As if the VA wasn't already understaffed 🤬

Pharmacy tech classes should be free because the amount of stress on the understaffed homies at Walgreens is concerning 😑

I fucking hate my job. We’re always understaffed and me and others are always having to carry it to make up the difference

I had to go to the emergency room last month it took over 5 hours to get seen then I had to wait in the room for an hour because my Hospital is so understaffed with nurses and let all of it CNAs go.

Nicknamed the “Wonderland of Rocks,” the area is known for its balanced boulders, rhyolite pinnacles, dark night skies, and unique, sky-island wildlife. Like most national parks, though, it is understaffed and underfunded.

Trump needs to sign the bill to pass it into law. We'll see... 🌎

Man, being a rich guy who only pays an inconvenient fine for solicitation has gotta suck, compared with poor people who end up in jail awaiting their trial in an overworked and understaffed system that’s unfairly balanced against them.

The truth is that all of the grocery and box stores are deliberately understaffed to the point that they can't make the price changes on the shelves fast enough, even though they only change once a week

The prices aren't constantly changing, they just don't want to pay people to change signs out

Overwhelmed and understaffed, 77% of calls to DTA caseworkers go unanswered. Over the last year, federal cuts and lack of access to DTA have led to 190,000 people—including 67,000 children—losing benefits.

I talked with NPR's Whyy Pulse about challenges of prior authorization, and why rural hospitals, which are chronically understaffed, are especially poorly positioned to manage that administration (and in the setting of claim denials, there may be delayed payment).

Take a good break and enjoy your weekend; you deserve it. 🫖

(My workplace is noticeably understaffed and we've been kicking off about it ahead of the next company meeting. So I've just been constantly exhausted this week.)
