#ShowMeYourKnits My fave cables EVER & the first time I've ever started a second before even finishing the first. ⛓️ ⛓️‍💥 This is the #UnfreeShawl and I will probably make a third. 😂 🧶 The cables were just complicated enough to be fun without being a hassle, and I love how they look.

There were a couple visible (at least to me) errors on my first #unfreeshawl so I started a second one to give my sister. (She would never have mentioned the errors, but I'd love to give her a perfect version.) So far, so good! I really love this pattern- I may knit a dozen of them. 😂 ⛓️‍💥 🧶 #knitting

I've done 18 pattern repeats on my #UnfreeShawl and *could* consider it ready for finishing, but I still have 20 g of yarn in this cake, so I'm going to carry on for 10 more grams! It's good size now, and will grow a bit with blocking but... More is more. 😂 #ilikebigshawlsandicannotlie

Well, that was BY FAR the closest game of yarn chicken I have ever won. I knew I didn't have enough yarn for that last repeat and carried on anyway! 😅 Ended up with just enough garter rows to avoid a rolling edge, hopefully, and had to do a crochet cast off- definitely not my fave but unavoidable.

Finished object Friday with 12 minutes to spare! 😂 My second #UnfreeShawl is more kerchief sized (b/c I used 2/3 of my yarn for my sister's shawl) and after I block it, I think I'm going to sew 2 corners together to make it stupideasy to wear. I'm excited about it! Got some wild pooling, too. 😂

The ONLY thing I regret about knitting a 2nd #UnfreeShawl for myself is that every 6 rows I have to be able to find TWO cable needles at the same time and wow am I ever bad at that. 🤦‍♀️🤣 (Yes, I know about cabling w/o needles. I just don't enjoy doing it & I am allowed to do this the way I enjoy. 😊)

Every section of the 6 foot long shawl has different stitch patterns. It is incredibly complicated and gorgeous. This pattern was a MKAL- a mystery knit along- from Lyrical Knits. I used Knit Picks Stroll in a tonal purple, a silvery gray, and a pale pink. 🧶 A completed triangle shawl in silvery gray is shown next to a nearly finished triangle shawl in the same color.
