Some of the reports sound like non-GMP peptides apparently chosen on little more than Uniprot annotations...even if they're mostly inactive given form/route, people are going to get blood diseases.

Authors published a paper in Biorxiv, they used UniProt in the study. Including #RRIDs will make this less ambiguous.

Structural basis for N-glycopeptide preference in an infant-derived Bifidobacterium bifidum PNGaseA
A rare PNGaseA-family enzyme in infant-associated B. bifidum To investigate N-glycan utilisation by species of human-associated Bifidobacterium species, InterPro, UniProt and IMG databases were screened for putative PNGase-encoding sequences, and this resulted in the identification of a predicted PNGase gene present in the genome of Bifidobacterium bifidum LMG13195 (the enzyme is denoted here as PNGaseABif, while its corresponding gene is referred to here as pngaseAbif)19,20,21. Intriguingly, PNGaseABif belongs to the PNGaseA superfamily, which is not currently associated with nutrient acquisition in bacterial species19. In the InterPro database, the current putative PNGaseA superfamily members are present in 1404, 710 and 94, eukaryotic, bacterial and archaeal species, respectively19. Within the eukaryotes, 1009 species are fungi (mainly Ascomycota and Basidiomycota), 311 species are flowering plants, while the remainder currently represent unclassified species. Within bacteria, 571 of the species with a putative PNGaseA-encoding sequence are Actinobacteria, where 444 of these are species of Streptomyces. The rest of the bacterial species represent a wide variety of microorganisms that are members of the Pseudomonadati kingdom. Of these bacterial sequences, there is only one additional putative PNGaseA enzyme (other than that specifying PNGaseABif) associated with a member of the Bifidobacterium genus, Bifidobacterium leontopitheci (A0A6I1GFR2) isolated from Golden-headed...

There are also 1.56 million citations for data from UniProt, RefSeq, Ensembl, Pfam and Cellosaurus that are ALL treated as "secondary", that is, reuse, not "primary" which is when a paper published the dataset. This looks arbitrary, and demonstrably false (e.g. www.cellosaurus.org/CVCL_A9V7)
