Overall I think that the #UnlockEducation @caut.bsky.social is pretty good—my adjunct union is w/CAUT!—but I caution here on emphasizing "debate," which shows up a bit in the campaign.

I think we need to parse the a diff b/w "debate" and "academic freedom" as things.

In one generation, the cost of undergrad tuition has more than DOUBLED. Meanwhile the cost of living has gone up 69%.

What we need is affordable college and university – and instead Canada’s getting tuition fees that are outpacing inflation.
