The urachus which feels like a made up word

Initially, they thought it was an infection. But we eventually learned he had a patent urachus. Basically, there's a tube that connects the bladder to the belly button in utero, which is supposed to disappear around 4-5 month gestation never did.

It affects about 1 in 5000 births.
