I do headcannon by the way that whenever a Spartan is using VISR mode on their helm, their entire Visor on the outside is lit up. I think of it as a visual way of showing a Spartan "locking in", as the kids say, like the Ninja Turtles when their eyes go full white. So to me, this looks perfect.
I screwed up the visor on my JFO helmet and tried to save it by turning it gold, but it doesn't feel the same without the marigold. Halo friends, does it still look okay?
