I was looking up reactions to historical GPU scaling and found this gem on Vogons:

OP is lamenting his 3 year old/300€ GPU does not even boot the vast majority of new releases in 2007. In 2025, a GTX 1060/270€ from 2016 still boots nearly all games and gets ~30 fps.
