You may not have noticed it (I certainly didn’t!) but Bilbo did in fact see the Valacirca constellation during his adventure with Thorin’s Company!

A Valacirca é um lembrete cósmico de que, mesmo na escuridão mais profunda, a derrota do Inimigo já está escrita nas estrelas.

'CAUSE THE THING IS.
LotR is not actually secondary world fantasy like what I complain about so often with language choices. It's a sort of pseudohistorical, long-forgotten past of EARTH.
The constellation called Valacirca ("Sickle of the Gods") is LITERALLY Ursa Major.

I have to re-read Lord of the Rings to really pay attention to the language Papa Tolkien used, because I'm at a point of feeling like "well, LOTR was supposed to be a translation so we could understand it, so just assume all fantasy novels do that!" is little more than a thought-terminating cliché.

Oh, my Ada! Yes, that is a perfect date of birth. The Valacirca is really wonderful🥹✨️
It would definitely makes sense if I would be born under the Valarcirca stars.

Hm. Let us see, then 🥺🤔 As one of the oldest Uruks, outliving Morgoth 's rule and doing so in freedom for so long, you represent a true challenge for Morgoth. The constellation Valacirca was for long read as a warrior defying Morgoth, that might suit you well...

1°) nous rappellent que la Terre du Milieu est notre monde 2°) évoquent le défi lancé par Elbereth et les Valar contre Morgoth au 3° chapitre du Silmarillion.
