New term: "Sucker's Discount." For #MLM, #VanityPress, etc. The "wholesale" price the seller pays for the overpriced product, which is pretty much what the stuff would cost at a reasonable retail price. This way the company turns a fat profit even if you don't sell anything.

You can do this stuff yourself at a vastly lower cost. Or, query and trad publish for no cost to yourself. But don't give vanity presses money.
