#Vasalgel
It's been something like 15 years since I was told that Vasalgel was 5-10 years away from hitting the market
December 30, 2025 at 3:40 PM
And if course the pharachemical companies want products people pay for every month, which is #vasalgel now known as #PlanA for men has taken so long to bring to tested & brought to market.

Promote Vasalgel.

Vasalgel isn’t approved in Germany yet so if someone is offering it I’d avoid them

Look up Vasalgel.

Wonder why this easily- reversible, 100% effective, male birth control hasn't been brought to market in the United States.

that's just vasalgel then? which I think has been "about to start clinical trials" for like a decade now 😿

www.planaformen.com an injectable (reversible) male contraceptive that i've been following for years (back in uni and college) that was once called VasalGel, and is going to be called Plan A, is going into human trials soon, hell yeah!

I followed Vasalgel for years. It sounded like a great alternative to vasectomy for those who might want reversal. But it seems to have disappeared.

vasalgel is close to coming to market, fingers crossed!

Vasalgel has been a real "we have always been at war with Eurasia" for me.
December 30, 2025 at 3:47 PM
My understanding is that Vasalgel was the proprietary name for a RISUG type product, which has since been sold to another company that has rebranded it “Plan A for Men”.
March 3, 2025 at 9:38 PM
this is not well known but vasectomies are not considered a temporary form of birth control because it has a chance of being irreversible. let's look forward to RISUG and vasalgel coming soon to keep grown children under control.

Thinking about health insurance and medications and I wanna yell into the void about how there's a "male" contraceptive that's 100% effective, easily reversible, actually has no side effects (other than sterility), and would be a cheap, outpatient procedure called RISUG/Vasalgel.

Men do have options for birth control. Vasalgel is an emerging technology that uses silicone plugs to block semen. It’s not widely available yet, and is reversible.

Imagine the furor if Democrats introduced legislation mandating this for all *all* adjudicated sex crime defendants.
January 11, 2025 at 5:19 PM
Look up Vasalgel and see how long it's been in development. Women shouldn't be the only ones with options this profound, nor should they have to deal with this hormonally when I as a dude could just get one non-hormonal injection and be good for ten years.

TIL Vasalgel is finally going to roll out in 2026, which is great news, and also I'm irate because it should have been out by 2016 at the latest, available at every Planned Parenthood, covered by Medicare

I got really excited about 15 years ago when I heard about the Parsemus Foundation’s research on Vasalgel.

It sounds like I made it up, but I did not. It has apparently been proven effective in clinical trials in India. Still not available in USA.

At this point, I assume the Parsemus Foundation or whoever is being paid by people who want a higher birth rate in order to do the research badly.

"Oh, I won't get a vasectomy, Vasalgel is right around the corner!"

But then again, there are a lot of things which seem like they might be this.

Elaine Lissner founded the Parsemus Foundation to address important unmet needs in human and pet health, including new options for male contraception.

Researchers have long been working to expand male contraceptive options, and one of the most promising is Plan A, based on the Vasalgel technology.

Ca fait + de 20 ans que j'entends que le "vasalgel" est pour bientôt, je me méfie de ce type d'annonces.
May 31, 2026 at 7:35 PM
There’s a fully reversible solution called Vasalgel. Frankly ludicrous it’s not mainstream.
