The code is public on GitHub (ArtCraft · GitHub). ### Why I think this tool should be added I know it’s still alpha. But it already covers more ground than several stable products we currently recommend and it does so in one consistent ecosystem, which matters for people migrating off Adobe or Microsoft Office. Second, it runs fully offline. It has no telemetry and no cloud requirement. And if you don’t trust it, install the Flatpak builds, which block internet access by default. This way you get the privacy guarantee without having to trust the developers. I know a lot of people will dislike this because of AI and rapid development but I think with their Flatpak being hardened quite a bit the downsides are way smaller than most people think. Early testers have reported rough edges, and there’s ongoing debate about how much AI was involved in writing the code. Since it’s open source, it’s auditable rather than something you have to take on faith. I don’t think we should add it now but I think it’s certainly a very good idea to keep a close eye on it (especially since the OnlyOffice drama) and maybe add it in a few months. I expect this could also start a big discussion between pro-AI and anti-AI camps and that is something we also need to address and find a middle ground on (imo). ### Section on Privacy Guides Office Suites
