Today's proceedings featured statements from UK families, as court officials read or played video recordings of family members describing the profound grief and long-term trauma caused by their loved ones' deaths. The mother of Danielle Kathryn Cornish described her family's ongoing struggle to maintain their household and emotional well-being four years after her daughter's death. She stated, 'We are part of a surreal nightmare,' and emphasized that no parent should have to pay for their child's funeral or sell their child's home. The mother of Gary Cooper, 41, shared how her husband has been on antidepressants since their son's death, and how the grief has brought back painful memories of his own brother's suicide. She noted that Gary had recently 'gotten the sparkle back in his eyes' after overcoming personal challenges. The father of Michael Dunham, who died in 2021, read a statement describing his own suicidal thoughts following his son's death, stating, 'I didn't care if I lived or died.' He also mentioned that the plea deal with Law means 'this long nightmare journey is almost over.' The hearing continues with 74 victim impact statements to be read, with 75 submitted in total. Law has shown no visible emotion throughout the proceedings, sitting emotionless in the prisoner's box. The Crown has read statements from Ontario families on the first day and UK families today. The sentencing hearing is expected to last several days. Families have called for a public inquiry, criticizing Ontario police for not taking action against Law sooner. Law was arrested in 2023 after British newspaper The Times of London exposed his business. According to an agreed statement of facts, Law sent 1,209 packages to 41 countries, including 157 shipments to Canadian addresses and 431 to the U.S. Authorities have linked his products to suicides in Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, and other countries. Many families who lost loved ones will never get a chance to express their grief in court. The case highlights the global reach of Law's activities and the devastating impact on families worldwide.

The Louisiana Committee on Parole voted to grant parole to Derek Sherman, a first‑class offender serving a 25‑year sentence, imposing supervision conditions and approving transfer under the interstate compact to Colorado after family testimony and program completion; the Rapides Parish DA urged denial.
