3DO modded with ode and usb socket inside side expansion door. Had to remove the videoCD expansion connector to gain room. Also connected the open close button to become the disk swap switch.

Astonishingly for me, I didn't lose, mislay, or damage the disc in the three days it was in my possession. It played perfectly on our kit. The EMI building was knocked down a few years later. Our VideoCD expansion card is in a museum.
But I still have the (very faded) fax from Kate Bush's brother.

Amazing.
I have a videoCD (VCD) of this.
Bought it in a second hand shop thinking it was the regular cd single.
Judging by the price I paid, so did they.
I've never managed to play it and I imagine after all these years it would be trash now.

Naaa ni vi eso, casi vomito viendo el trailer en YouTube de la cuenta oficial de la distribuidora, parece sacado de un VideoCD.

Todays #RetroTech for #VideoVVednesday
For a while, between #LaserDisc & DVD, there was huge wave of #VCD #VideoCD stuff in Asia. Some of it made it to Europe. A lot of it knock off - not all of it
Playable in CDi, PCs, Commodore CD-TV, 3D0, PS One - with a Memory Stick bodge
They were cheap too

Hey all! My name is Zero64 and I've been a video game collector and content creator for a few years now! I mainly focus on the rare and obscure pieces of gaming history and my goal is to educate my viewers on some of the really interesting hardware and software most people don't know about 😁

Found a Playstation1 accessory at Goodwill I never heard of called Gamars Movie Card. Had to know what does MPEG decode and it's a Winbond W9925, fully integrated VideoCD playback chip used in many standalone players.

I went to different flea markets on one whole day & got myself :-

•Jeon Do-yeon's acclaimed R-rated film
•Madchen Amick's underrated R-rated film
•Masakazu Katsura's 1994 anime adaptation series
•JoJo's second album & the last album under Universal

Speaking of weird consumer optical disc formats, there were also mini-sized Video LaserDiscs which just chopped off the outer radius. And the VideoCD which was a single music video on a 120mm "CD" sized LaserDisc, with a CD section etched alongside that. So you could play it on either kind of device

There’s no drug like nostalgia.
I don’t care that it failed as a console. I’ve always wanted one! Philips CD-i ❤️🕹️

I am happy to report that I was wrong. The Magnetar plays VideoCDs!
#physicalmedia It also looks pretty awful blown up to 4k on a 77-inch television. 😂

I never thought I see the day that MPEG-1 VideoCD would offer better quality than this slop.
