Hello there,on Saturday, October 31, 2026, I got a brand new iPhone 18 Pro and overall this phone is great. However, there are some strange things that I noticed today on Monday, November 2, 2026. First, in the dynamic island VoiceOver told me to double tap to open app, but visually there wasn’t anything in the dynamic island and there should have not been any live activities. When I double tapped on the dynamic island, the dynamic island stretched out into a black ball and completely came invisible to VoiceOver. To get it to go away, I had to turn VoiceOver off and then swipe across the dynamic island to dismiss it, but it still appeared there. If I tap the dynamic island with VoiceOver turned off, it still does the same thing while it stretches out the dynamic island. If I have something playing like a song in Apple Music while an ongoing phone call, there will be a secondary live activity where it’s just a black space. It’s just a round circular dot, and when I tap it, it does the same thing where it stretches out the dynamic island. The strange thing is that when I swipe down to get to the notification center, the notification center with the locks screen shows no live activities. I have tried restarting my phone multiple times today, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Another strange thing is the longtone and text tone for certain contact, I set the LinkedIn and text tone to a different one than my default. When they texted me this morning, I didn’t think that it was the contact that I was hoping to receive a text for, as the text tone was just my default. I was confused, as I feel like it was the sound that I changed it to when I went into the contact and scrolled down. I saw that it was indeed set to the text tone and LinkedIn that I should’ve had it on, but yet it was doing and playing my default LinkedIn and text tone for that contact. I had plenty of iCloud storage space and I did a delete iPhone to iPhone transfer. I am curious, what’s going on, and if you have any solutions? If you do, please drop your ideas, fixes, or what’s even going on with that strange live activity. I don’t want to just deleteing apps off of my phone to find the culprit of the phantom live activity.
