FYI, I’m borrowing audiobooks from the library now and it’s lovely. The best two apps are BorrowBox and Libby
Hi BlueSky: Are there any good alternatives to Spotify which offer music AND audiobooks? (I keep falling asleep without the sleep timer on and burning through my whole audiobook allowance. Their solution is “Just pay us more money to keep replaying the same book…” 🙄)

More thoughts on Harrison and Lily in The Archers than I can or should put into this box

I got a diagnosis while it was still shameful and secret and I will tell you getting that diagnosis probably saved my life. I couldn't understand why the world seemed to make sense to everyone else. Knowing I was working from a different rulebook gave me patience to learn what I needed to thrive.

Is it helpful to realise brain chemicals can impact relationships? For sure.

Are “dopamine addiction” or “dopamine deficit” helpful ways to explain this? Not really.

Should you follow neuroscientists for better info? Definitely.

(I’m not one. @drdeanburnett.bsky.social is…)

Followed an ADHD account yesterday, then unfollowed because it’s selling content clearly pretty well all copy-pasted from ChatGPT as digital downloads. Meep meep.

With the final report of the autism, ADHD and mental health review expected soon, here's a reminder of what their interim report actually said.

We, as a community, helped bury this by giving all our attention to a misleading Times headline on publication day instead.

Let's not do that again.
Remember Streeting's review into whether young people are being overdiagnosed with ADHD, autism, and mental health issues? Well, the interim report is out, and there's a reason the media are silent on it (spoiler: it proves what a lot of us have been saying all along)

Getting a text from a friend who’s recently moved house to say her new GP has accepted Shared Care and reacting as if she’s just announced her engagement. What a world.

This is diabolical news. PAPYRUS closing down is a massive blow, especially for young autistic people. When standard mental health services constantly misunderstand neurodivergent burnout and crisis, HOPELINE was one of the few accessible lifelines left....

If this article was written in good faith, it would a) Actually contain quantifiable evidence of this happening and b) Also mention that many people who are now diagnosed with ADHD were incompletely or inaccurately diagnosed with something else before that.
It isn’t, so it doesn’t.
