XFCE is my favorite by far, sadly ruined in the latest Fedora release by their deprecation of x11 🫣
I might take the plunge and migrate fully to VoidLinux (their package management is light years away the best)

reason 12323 to despise systemd, no wait, actually reasons 1,2,3 and 4. #voidlinux is right there, people, it's really quite good and systemd-free by default. #netbsd and #freebsd also not bad choices tbh but it depends on your use case.
