Pardon me for being #hornyonmain but this remains one of the best locomotive airhorn videos I've ever seen, especially for the WABCO E2B1's unique sound being so far from the norm.

North American railways only really use Scharfenberg couplers on metros and light rail, with mainline operations preferring various knuckle couplers which requires slow manual connection of air and electrical lines for multiple unit operation. Some operators use WABCO N-type which is also automatic.

The US sold all of it's automating equipment suppliers to Germany anyway. Started back when Siemens bought up everything WABCO put on offer as US manufacturers looked for cheaper labor in China.

horns/whistle on this thing are a wabco E2 for country use and a hancock 4710 air whistle, as ordained by doghill city laws. Bell is a bryant zinc crossing bell, mounted only on the A end
still a little wonky but getting closer, Apogee loco works makes Baldwin shells ans i think every other detail part on here is available as well

Perhaps the funniest bit of all this is that after GE tried and failed to become a bank, it sold off GE Transportation Systems i.e. locomotives, to the other Westinghouse. Wabtec, formerly Wabco, Westinghouse Air Brake.

No, that was the electric. Geo started both companies but the airbrake (Wabco/Wabtech) endures. Electric is no more. The Geo Westinghouse Bridge crosses the Turtle Creek valley - the center of his companies. that's why radio & nuclear were in Forest Hills, WABCO in Wilmerding.
