We have 4 players going into last rounds of WC - all 4 could go into last round of games (inc 3/4 play off) which isn't too bad.
I'm convinced having 9 go into the last round of WC2018 caused huge knock-on issues (plus not signing any players that summer) not just for 18/19 but way beyond.

I was on a high for the WCQ for WC2018.
1st match vs Kyrgyzstan (away).
Jedinak scored after 2'..
Then Kyrgyzstan - one of the lowest ranked nations in Asia at the time - played Ange's team off the park. They just couldn't score.

So much of what Tuchel has done has been refreshingly different from Southgate but that last half an hour or so was from the Southgate textbook of not knowing what to do with a lead (Croatia, WC2018; Italy EC2020).

Used to have heaps of time for her. Quite a trail blazer in sports presentation, felt for her during WC2018 country pronunciation pile on; then she goes all JKRowling on transgender sports and alt-right. Lost all nuance and context. Very sad to see. Is that what kids do to you?
