There was an abundance of columns and podcasts featuring him suggesting that Republicans were becoming the party of the working class and Dems were permanently losing voters of color. It was all clearly nonsense at the time. It was a slow, boring realization that these guys were wishcasting.

this doesn't feel like 2008 (to me) bc in 2008 we were all so full of hope with eyes wide open for the future, and i have too much anger for that now. but this does feel like catharsis, like a result we were owed but were never confident we would get.
