WA state workers w/WFSE/AFSCME Council 28 are planning a statewide walkout as contract negotiations continue. Workers warn WA has paid more than $500M in lawsuit settlements this year, saying leaders “would rather spend money in the courts...than by proactively investing in their workforce.”

Thread - I received an email from the Evergreen Freedom Foundation (WA chapter of anti-union, anti-tax, Grover Norquist founded network) at my gov work email, telling me to quit the union AFSCME/WFSE. They're doing it b/c my union stopped furloughs and increased wages in a fiscally tight leg session
