The comparison highlights a massive difference in scale: the "No Farmers, No Food" movement represents a global reliance on agriculture affecting all 8 billion people on Earth, whereas the British Suffragette movement (specifically the WSPU) had a core membership estimated in the tens of thousands.

She designed the WSPU logo, leaflets and many banners and posters. She painted portraits of working women, and wrote for the suffragette press. She was arrested for protests loads of times, and went on repeated hunger strike.

Love this from suffragist writer Evelyn Sharp in 1909 - an extract from an article called "Between Two Boards" about her experience of representing the WSPU on the streets of London and selling the newspaper "Votes for Women":

In several different ways - Ireland and Unionist subversion of the British state most of all, but also there was a lot of - often successful - industrial militancy (the coal miners’ strike of 1912 is quite an event). And the WSPU was on a radicalisation spiral. It’s quite like 1972-76.
