I tend to be very cautious around ballot props, was leaning towards Yes on 40 just to block even worse props, but "lets legislators raise taxes without another fucking referendum" is just an unalloyed good. bsky.app/profile/walm...
there's a line of anti-40 ads that drives me insane because the whole premise is that it's a "loophole" for legislators to be able to raise taxes without asking us. if you want low taxes you can vote for candidates who support that! I believe that representative government should be possible at all!
