Doerkson's indigenous minister choice?

an anti-DRIPA stalwart like Caroline Elliott?

a moderate like Scott McInnis or Peter Milobar?

Or Áʼa:líya Warbus, the Stó:lō Fraser Valley MLA?

The choice will be telling, outrage, caution or incluson?

Two Young B.C. Conservative MLAs Could Shape New Government's Policies
The article discusses two British Columbia Conservative MLAs, Claire Rattée and Á'a:líya Warbus, who are likely to be appointed to Premier-elect Lorne Doerksen's cabinet. Rattée, a 34-year-old tattoo shop owner and former addict, has been open about her personal struggles with addiction and homelessness. She believes in pushing addicts into treatment rather than focusing on harm reduction. Warbus, an Indigenous filmmaker and artist from the Stó:lō Nation, is skeptical of the NDP's UNDRIP legislation and has offered a nuanced position on the province's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA). Both women were re-elected in the recent election and have unique backgrounds that could shape the new Conservative government's approach to key issues like addiction policy and Indigenous relations. Rattée has been vocal about the need for compassionate approaches to addiction, drawing from her personal experience. Warbus emphasizes the importance of practical, transparent legislation that brings Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities together. The article highlights their potential roles in addressing issues such as healthcare, housing, and economic development in British Columbia.

On something DRIPA, there is a chance (to an outside observer) that he appoints Áʼa:líya Warbus to be Indigenous Relations Minister and there is a chance he appoints Sheldon Clare. Probably he would appoint a minister between the two, but who knows!

After all that political party hopping, Á’a:liya Warbus returning to the BC Conservatives was a choice. A choice to stand alongside Heather Maahs.

In Richmond-Bridgeport, voters can choose between BC Conservative incumbent Teresa Wat and an NDP candidate

In Chilliwack-Cultus Lake, it's BC Conservative incumbent Aaliyah Warbus vs and NDP candidate

Neither of these are ridings OneBC declined to run a candidate in

Chilliwack-Cultus Lake will be interesting. The right wing facebook groups really, really hate Warbus.

Even Milobar doesn't see anywhere near the same level of incandescent hatred.

Not sure that Conservatives are behind this racist nationalist group. Kamloops MLA is Peter Milobar - whose wife is indigenous. A week ago, another indigenous member returned to the Conservative Party: Áʼalíya Warbus.
I believe it may be directed at Rosanne Casimir of the Kamloops Indian Band.
