We bought a new washer dry today, the LG WashTower which is these two integrated stacked units. It’s a hulk of a machine.
It nearly killed us. It’s bigger than a fridge and weighs 180kg.
We’re both busted. 😮💨

We got one six months ago and I never used to brag about appliances but I will talk about my Washtower as though it were my own child.

i'm mad that if i want to just air fluff something in my LG washtower dryer I have to download an app. or if I want to change the water temp on the "bedding" cycle which defaults to warm/hot. nostalgic for the old days of analog dials.

Small miracles. Thanks to the power outage, the power cord I can't reach to reset my LG washtower was disconnected from the electricity long enough to reset the system and allow me to restore the connection to the app.
This little troublemaker knocked out my power in Pawtucket, RI for an hour. @wx1box.bsky.social

clothes well, they don’t always lift them super high before letting them fall.
LG is extremely explicit about the fact that they try to lift clothes higher (it shows up in extremely obscure marketing material) but you can just see it visibly, too.

i got this LG Washtower at the Lowes Outlet near me over Labor Day (0% financing + delivery + great warranty) last year bc my new apartment had a hookup and going to the laundromat was getting old after two months.
i LOVE it! it isn’t super loud and doesn’t shake/vibrate, and fits king bedding!

I've had a similarly good experience with this LG tower with heat pump dryer. Takes up more (vertical) space, but you can wash and dry at the same time, so probably quicker for going through multiple loads. Agree: plugging wall where the dryer vent was is a big plus!

I love my LG Washtower though. It's amazing. OTOH, I'm a tech geek, so downloading a specialty cycle is easy. I don't think most people really care about this stuff at all.

I have and love this LG tower, with heat pump dryer. Faster than an all-in-one combo unit. Having a ventless heat pump dryer also means conditioned air isn't sucked out of the house through the vent when dryer is running. www.lg.com/us/washers-d...
