These days my favourites come in a thin, waterproof skin. They call them 'Pop-Tarts.'
In the middle of a vast lake rises a single stone pedestal with a landing just large enough for a man to kneel. The brave leave offerings for those who would listen, and at night you swim up from the depths to take what's been given. What gift do you treasure most?

However it's getting colder here in France and also there's unpredictable rain, so I definitely understand the longer waterproof coats and ample scarves now, both of which we need soon!

Dreyfuss in Close Encounters taking a moment during his family-destroying meltdown to recognize that his waterproof watch still works (despite his descent into bathtub-mania) *always* cracks me up.
