Someone: so you think a houseboat is gonna change everything?
Me: Yes. I think I do.
[Fast forward to the following Wednesday when I'm making a HUGE RACKET ON THE FUCKING RIVER WITH MY EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF WEATHER RADIOS]

In 1952, they didn't have Doppler radars, WeatherRadios, nor weather satellites to give them a heads-up. 209 died. We don't want to go back. #NotGoingBack
March 21-22nd, 1952:
A substantial outbreak of 31 tornadoes struck the Southern US. Eleven tornadoes were rated F4. Two hundred nine fatalities occurred, fifty of which came from an F4 that devastated Judsonia, Arkansas.

When do #WeatherRadios stop working so you no longer get #TornadoWarnings? When will there no longer be information on #Hurricaines? Seems like today.
I am now hearing from multiple folks in the past two hours (including some who have personally been fired) that mass firings have now commenced within NOAA--including, yes, at the National Weather Service.
