comparative chart making where you just get claude or gemini(gemini loves charts) to automate literacy analysis by uploading major works of literacy criticism and contemporary novels/books/webserials/manga/anime/pdfs
I'm reading Lévi-Strauss's "Structural Study of Myth" this afternoon, and seeing what happens if we pour Star Wars, experimentally, into a four-column layout like the one L-S uses for Oedipus. Collab with Opus 5.5.

Holy fucking shit... Worm adaption 2027...

God is real and he has excellent taste in obscure webserials 🥹
Worm is Getting a 2027 Comic Adaptation with IDW Publishing
I can finally speak about this- Worm is getting a comic.  As I was quoted saying for the press release, Worm is a story that was written to take the world of comics, which are very visual, into the…

The Lockwoods are back. I found a backup, so the process to fix it was much easier than I anticipated, but the reason for it is the original Lockwoods is also back. There are two separate sites, and I might make another to transition the original webserials to it.

They all have crushes on each other, and are a tight group of friends/polycule. But, also, for various reasons, haven't actually dated or fooled around yet. Just a group of fifteen-year-olds who are sticking together as the school's queer squad, and reading stormcrow webserials.

I'd love to be added if there's still space! I write almost exclusively original fiction and currently update two webserials (links in my pinned) about my OCs on the regular.

Pact is probably amongst the best webserials ever written, outfought only by other Wildbow serials. Ur, and the concept of Demons in the Otherverse, is terrific.
Ur, The Abstract Demon from Wildbow's web serial Pact! Had a lot of fun with all their awful bits and appendages, a very fun painting.

So if we want to change the use of AI in webserials it's gonna be a frustrating & arduous task.

However, it has started. Certain places like popular webserial reddit and Facebook pages have started banning advertising an ai cover.

Which has started to convince established authors to go real art.
December 17, 2024 at 6:04 AM
That since everyone's using AI covers, there's a level of quality or style expected by readers.

And since new webserials are found by latest update chapters, many authors will actually make 2-3 covers and switch them out to see which gains traction.

This makes fast ai art even more desirable ☠️
December 17, 2024 at 5:59 AM
So here is an unpopular fact:

Webserials use AI art as a foundation of the current culture. Without an AI cover you aren't taken seriously, and since most authors haven't written the book yet, or it's their first time writing - they don't have money, know how or care to buy real art.

Too, the...

I'm not sure I'd really call it hitting down? Like, you review a lot of very indie press stuff and I think that's good, but a lot of larger webserials are like... an order of magnitude larger/more professionalized than some things you've reviewed?
June 11, 2026 at 8:06 PM
Webserials, also. Some of those have the worst quality writing I've ever seen but that doesn't stop them from attracting regular and supportive readers.
December 1, 2024 at 8:01 PM
Its not a novella, but if you dont mind webserials, try Katalepsis!
February 4, 2025 at 4:04 AM
The thing is, theyre always changing! So its never one specific interest djdbidb

Rn for example I'm mostly interested in reading niche queer webstories, such as webserials and quests!
Like the one I'm currently reading, and the one I had been binging for months before that x3
January 4, 2025 at 5:15 PM
Do they have to be physical/digital books or do webserials and stuff also count?
Cuz if they do, read Katalepsis its great :3
December 26, 2024 at 3:12 PM
Uhh
Rinya doesnt know =w=

She is always flitting everywhere when it comes to topics and has the memory of a floppy disc x3

Altho I could prolly infodump a lil about webserials I've read recently, or give random trivia but never in depth or technical :o
December 21, 2024 at 11:41 AM
Yeah!
Four picks from webserials would be

Katalepsis
Stray Cat Strut
Vigor Mortis/Bioshifter (by same author)
A Little Vice (short, but one of few stories to deal psychic damage to me)
