Sure they're not mainlining pesticides, weedkillers, absorbing gmo genes into their own (and their enterobiota's)?

Common awareness of the environment. My bestie’s growing things in her suburban yard to attract bees. My super-gardener grandma tossed the weedkillers. My dad, who used to oppose activists protesting the mine where he worked, disparaged the effects of strip mining. The conversation has changed.
Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

got to remove ivy from my house today & so looked up the best way to do it in case there's a knack or technique. After wading through many ads for horrible weedkillers including one at the start of the youtube vid I found, it turns out the easiest way is to pull it off while it's still alive

Two colours, same species.

These Taylor’s sea hares (also known as eelgrass sea hares and zebra leafslugs) crawl on seagrass and eat the epiphytic algae growing on their blades. Effectively acting as natural weedkillers.

Did not know this until I was deep in writing a composting guide:

Certain weedkillers survive composting AND survive an animal's digestive system. They turn up in manure and straw and deform tomatoes.

There's a three-week bean test that catches it. Why is this not better known?

I'm sympathetic to that.
But keep in mind that these are not ordinary seeds. They are genetically modified to withstand aggressive weedkillers. As such they contribute to the use of pesticides.
And you do appropriate the intellectual property of the seed company.

Please say no to garden poisons such as pesticides and weedkillers, to help keep them out of the food chain. Hedgehogs, for example, can eat over 100 invertebrates every night.

And they're in everyone and everything. Accumulated up the food chain. Besides themselves degrading into hormone emulators. Which several of the major pesticides and weedkillers do also. In addition to their action as biological antagonists and disruptors. Which induce favor "bad" microbes.
