This has reminded me that I was a bit scared when Tom Baker moved the playing card in front of his face during the magic show in Talons of Weng Chiang. That made me into a proper Doctor Who fan at that point. That and Granddad's Weetabix card collection.

In 1978 and 1979 Weetabix gave away a series of DC superheroes-themed collectable cards - most of these characters were new to me at the time, but I learned about them over the years - except some remained completely obscure. I assumed the artist just made some up, but evidently not...

Don't have kids but can often hear & see the neighbours' kids when they're out playing. One lad fascinates me, he seems to never just walk, only skip or sprint, perpetual motion. Have said to her nibs that the wee lad's ma must not be feeding him Weetabix for breakfast, but Duracell batteries.
