Hidden in plain sight: This lichen huntsman was spotted by a Terrain staffer in Daintree rainforest. This species is renowned for its camouflage abilities.

It's found in tropical/sub-tropical forests in Australia, New Guinea and parts of Indonesia.

We see many endangered Spectacled Flying-foxes with sticky pollen wings when we catch, tag and release them.

The peppermint stick insect... They mainly live north of the Daintree River. What's in the name? It's not just their colouring. They spray a white fluid from their prothoracic glands if they feel under threat and it's peppermint-scented.
