I'd have probably actually bought Control Resonant to see for myself if its character action tendencies are actually a problem. (I suspect they are.)
But replacing Jesse with Whiteguy McBeardsman? That's a dealbreaker. Replacing any female protag with a man is a step down, but Jesse was fantastic.
