This is, among other things, gorgeous writing. Whitmanesque. Yes, it's translated, but it's powerful.
Colombian President Gustavo Petro's full post ordering an increase of import tariffs on U.S. goods, says he doesn't really like traveling to the U.S. because it's “a bit boring” and invokes the ancestors

Just looked at my reflection and realized I’m wearing the meme #Whitmanesque

There's something beautiful, Whitmanesque, to cocktails / pitchers of beer / frozen mugs of beer

One more platform to curate, one wan hope that this one might be different. With a Whitmanesque barbaric YAWP I welcome myself to Blue Sky. Anybody read any good books lately?

Perhaps I think too highly of myself...

It is, however, an example of the Whitmanesque barbaric yawp.

Indeed. So now let's make another pass at that opening stanza to make its scansion a little more Whitmanesque:

When I saw the learn'd law profs making absurd arguments,
To “shift the Overton Window,”
Misinforming the people about birthright citizenship
I was incensed.

Positively Whitmanesque
UN Ambassador Matt Whitaker: "People are enjoying the United States of America because it's an awesome place. We have extraordinary things like Buc-ee's and Chick-fil-A, very convenient to eat in your car while you're having a phone call. It's an amazing country."

Finally getting around to reading Cold Mountain, despite living about fifteen miles from the actual peak for 25 years or so. It’s good! Timely with Christopher Nolan making The Odyssey right now. It’ll be interesting to compare them when it comes out. But CM’s prose is masterful. #booksky

But we’d look up past the black tree limbs into the fresh white morning and smile. And write ambling stanzas of Whitmanesque declarations of rugged individualism.

though they are both part of this weirdly common 20th century sci-fi premise of galactic consciousnesses that don't erase individuality - IMO it's a bit whitmanesque???
Asimov, Heinlen, Butler, and Dan Simmons all do this. I think there are a few others, and maybe some 21st c. ones.

That final stanza is Whitmanesque in its tone. Really nice.

I sometimes find Taylor Whitmanesque. Consider her stripped down approach (Me!) to "Song of Myself."

Like mother, like daughter? Was there a sequel? Maybe a Walt Whitmanesque ode to #Nature? What is beauty? What is ugly? What the eff is Dario Argento trying to tell us?

As an Authentic Tribune of the People, he is as vast as The People.

He contains multitudes, Whitmanesque-ly.
