It was *going* to be a rest day, as I had gotten sick with a cold, but not twenty minutes after I had posted online about that being the plan and the cause, Becky texted me and said that she would come walk in my stead. “I’ll keep us on track,” she said. She had to drive three hours each way to do so, but she didn’t hesitate for a second. I was unbelievably humbled and grateful. Because of her, I was able to rest without adding the stress of all the miles that would have to be made up. 🥹 Thank you, Becky. 💛 The collective effort of so many incredible women (and a few men!) to help see this thing through has been a truly extraordinary thing to witness and be a part of. | Women's Walk Across America

The Walk has collectively covered ~2,800 miles, and now I can officially say I have walked 1,000 of them. ☺️👟 Feels pretty dang good. 😊 | Women's Walk Across America

She covered 39 miles, from Fairborn to East London, OH, and by stepping up to take the lead, she made it possible for 5 other women to join the walk! | Women's Walk Across America

I asked him to to talk about what motivated him to join me today, both because I'm a little sick of the sound of my own voice, and because I think it's so important for men to be speaking out about these topics, too. Grateful to have had him here with me. | Women's Walk Across America

15 reactions | Sometimes a movement begins with a plan and sometimes it begins with rage. For Emily, Women’s Walk Across America was born from the feeling that she could no longer sit comfortably at home while watching what was happening to women’s rights across the country. She needed to do something. So she started walking. What began as a woman refusing to stay still has become a journey across America, bringing together people who are willing to walk, speak up, start conversations, and show those in power that we are paying attention. You don’t have to have all the answers to take action. You don’t have to know exactly where your first step will lead. You just have to decide that staying comfortable is no longer an option. And yet, we are walking across America because fundamental questions about women’s equality, bodily autonomy, healthcare, and safety continue to shape our lives. We are asking for our full humanity to be recognized. For the right to make decisions about our own bodies. For access to necessary healthcare. For survivors of sexual violence to be protected and perpetrators to be held accountable, regardless of their power or position. These shouldn’t be radical demands. Women are human and we deserve equal rights. And we are walking across America to make sure that message is heard. Every mile brings us closer to Washington, D.C. 📍 *November 8, 2026* Join us as we arrive in D.C. and make our voices impossible to ignore. #WomensWalkAcrossAmerica #WomensRights #WomenAreHuman #GenderEquality #RoadToDC | Women's Walk Across America

The National Road Heritage Trail in Indiana threw several challenges my way in the form of downed branches and trees. I realized later it was because of the massive flooding Indiana had a few weeks back. Trees are still falling due to the over saturated soil. And I know that a few trees crossing a pedestrian path is the very least of their very real worries. Still, it created quite the challenge. 😳 | Women's Walk Across America

This movement centers women and those who experience gender-based oppression but we cannot create meaningful change without allies willing to stand beside us. If you believe women deserve equality, bodily autonomy, safety, representation, and the same fundamental rights as everyone else, there is a place for you in this movement. That includes cisgender men. Being an ally isn’t just believing in equality. It’s being willing to show up for it. So bring your husbands, brothers, sons, fathers, friends, coworkers, and partners. Walk beside us, speak up and help us push back.
