O Apple blossom! On yet another, hot blue-sky day. And the May (Hawthorn Crataegus monogyna). Bridalwear on the edge of Easter Wood, Wickhambrook. Hiding shyly in the wood, next to its cousin, a Midland Hawthorn (Crataegus laevigata), flowers with 2 stigmas.

There's a pair of Grey Wagtails at the Wickhambrook Ford (honest!) - the Robin was a more obliging subject.
The brambles and scrub in a drain on Countryside Stewardship land were absolutely packed with roosting Reed Buntings and Yellowhammers as night fell.
