In #dotnet 9, we've introduced WinForms specific #Analyzers to help you guide with tricky WinForms situations. We got those both for #csharp and #visualbasic. And not only are we planning to add more over time-you can also get engaged:

WinForms: Analyze This (Me in Visual Basic) - .NET Blog
Your WinForms code might have issues—maybe an Async call picked the wrong overload, or it’s leaking data into resource files. Time to call in a code-shrink! So, WinForms, Analyze This!

Saying "Qt Designer or Interface Builder" is wrong and you can't in good faith recommend either of them if you've ever used WinForms Designer.

having used the winforms designer for like 6 years now makes it all the egregious that the xaml designer was like That

Dear old WinForms, still a great way to quickly create a Windows app, got some love in .NET 9 with new async APIs for improving UI tasks.

We've been working on making the loading and rendering threaded in Source 2 Viewer, as well as freshened up theme.

It's a surprising amount of refactoring to make OpenGL load and render in a thread and sync up with UI controls.

And styling winforms is really hell on earth.
